Organisation of educational process
Since 2002 training of the first year students of the theology faculty has
been carried out on the basis of the credit-modular system within the framework
of the two-step preparation: the bachelor (4 years) and master (1,5-2 years).
The training of 2-5 year students is being carried out within the framework of
expert preparation. The form of training — day time.
Except for theological disciplines, traditional for Orthodox educational institutions,
humanitarian and social-economical disciplines, the Faculty of Theology offers
students practical courses of two modern foreign languages, as well as elementary
courses of classical and ancient languages — Church-Slavonic, Ancient Greek,
Hebrew and Latin.
The chair for theological disciplines of the faculty, where students specialise
in a history of Church and dogmatic movements was founded in 1995. The chair for
religious studies, where students specialise in the field of regular religious
studies, history of religions, phenomenology and philosophy of religion was created
in July, 1999. And in October 1, 2001 magistracy on a speciality "Theology"
was opened.

The Faculty maintains the international co-operation and develops on a contract
basis multilateral contacts with various organisations and establishments, higher

Student
life
A solemn public prayer opens each academic year at the faculty. Lectures start
and finish also with a prayer. The Liturgy is conducted once a week at the University
Chapel of Saints Methodius and Cyrill for the lecturers, staff-workers and students
of the faculty. The prayer is very important for the faculty life, the services
are conducted during different days depending on the educational schedule.
Besides studies, students make pilgrimages, participate in theological seminars,
religious-philosophical seminars, conferences, round tables discussions, in the
work of the World Orthodox Brotherhood of youth ("SYNDESMOS"), in the
work of the World Federation of students — Christians (WSCF).
The major partner of the Theology Faculty is the International Voluntary Association
"Christian Educational Centre of Saints Methodius and Cyrill" (IVA CEC).
IVA CEC is the only voluntary organisation in Belarus, which carries out responsibly
and regularly the planned financing of the faculty, develops its material and
technical resources, and renders a comprehensive support of scientific theological
and religious studies programs.
Library
The faculty has a reading hall and library in 9 thousand volumes, including

and religious-philosophical contents on Russian and foreign languages.
The library fund constantly replenishes due to the help of a lot of universities
of Germany, Italy, France, USA, Christian publishing houses of Europe "Life
