In 1997 the German Embassy in Belarus decided to support the foundation of
the Institute for German Studies at the EHU.
The Director of the Institute is Tobias Knubben, DAAD-Fachlektor (German Academic
Exchange Service).

The aim of this project is to promote cooperation between Germany and Belarus
in the field of education and to train qualified experts for launching various
collaborative projects. The Institute features programs to train experts in the
fields of Economics, Law, and German Studies as well as actively takes part in
collaborative Belarusian-German research
and publishing projects. |
